24.06.2007 Kehittyvien maiden välinen Tieteen, Teknologian ja Innovaation keskus päätettiin perustaa YK:n johdolla Malesiaan. Malesian ministeriön hallinnoima keskus tukee Etelä-Etelä -välistä teknologian siirtoa, säännösten luomista sekä maiden välistä tutkimusta ja yhteistyötä.

18.06.2007 Sri Lanka’s Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA), in partnership with the Colombo University medical faculty, will provide rural patients with remote medical consultation and treatment. A rural hospital in the island’s north-central region has been set up with computer facilities and a broadband link to particularly deal with people suffering genetic disorders.

14.06.2007 Villagers in the north Indian state of Bihar are now members of the National Rural Employment Guarantee (NREG) scheme thanks to a Korean biometric device. These smart cards will also double as ATM/debit cards and help track the NREG programme.

12.06.2007 A web blog on the home page of Central Board of Direct Taxes is the latest online venture of the tax department of India. Users can open accounts and use it as a platform to discuss tax-related issues and give feedback on policies undertaken.

08.06.2007 Red Hat has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government of Kerala, India, under which it will support Kerala's deployment of open source software that will hasten the efforts of e-governance and e-literacy in the state.
