23.11.2005 The Pakistani government has announced an increase in compensation for survivors whose houses were devastated in the 8 October quake. The survivors could now get up to nearly $2,929 for rebuilding their houses, an increase of about $2,511.

23.11.2005 The Taliban has claimed that it has killed the kidnapped Indian driver, Ramankutty Maniappan, who was working with the Indian road constrction organisation - Border Roads Organisation (BRO).
