This update offers the most recent information available on developments in funding for population assistance programs and grades each of 21 major donor countries accordingly. The new data illustrates that donor countries continue to fall far short of the commitments outlined at the 1994 International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) and reaffirmed in 2004. Though population assistance has most recently trended upward, when adjusted for inflation those resources are at least 40 percent short of what is required from donors to achieve universal access to basic reproductive health care by 2015.
