19.07.2004 It has been a busy summer for the Capacity Building Facility (CBF) project, a program developed by UNDP Kosovo, the Kosovo Foundation for Open Society (KFOS), and the Office of the Prime Minister of the Provisional Institutions of Self-Government (PISG) to strengthen democratic institutions, facilitate implementation of the “Standards for Kosovo,” and improve public sector leadership and management in order to create a professional civil service.

14.07.2004 The Asian Development Bank will be supporting an ICT project in Mongolia to bring information resources within the reach of rural schools. The ICT for Innovating Rural Education project, which is also being backed by the Japan Fund for Information and Communication Technology, aims to boost creativity in classrooms, build an efficient school management system and create non-formal learning opportunities. About 10,000 students in 36 schools are going to benefit from the initiative.

12.07.2004 A project will soon make the Macao Special Administrative Region's government information online. The initiative, with help from the International Institute for Software Technology of United Nations University, is also aimed at building an e-governance infrastructure and capacity-building of government employees.
