Mais quinze jours après l'ouverture, le centre affiche déjà complet. Pour faire face à l'afflux d'enfants souffrant de malnutrition grave, il faut doubler le nombre de lits.

Child Soldier in Sierra Leone
28.07.2005 The U.N. took what has been called "a decisive step in the right direction" Monday, passing a resolution requiring governments and armed groups to end the use of child soldiers and report on grave violations against children.

26.07.2005 Amnistie internationale a révélé ce mardi 26 juillet que des milliers d’enfants au Népal étaient confrontés à des exactions et violences graves dans le conflit en cours au Népal, où rebelles maoïstes et forces de sécurité se livrent à une lutte interne brutale depuis neuf ans.

Dans un rapport sur le Népal rendu public ce mardi 26 juillet, intitulé en anglais Nepal : Children caught in the conflict, l’organisation explique que des enfants népalais sont tués, détenus illégalement, torturés, violés, enlevés et recrutés de force pour des tâches militaires ; l’organisation accuse les deux parties au conflit de violer les droits les plus élémentaires des enfants.

25.07.2005 Palestine's art scene is remarkably vibrant; Ramallah and Gaza held successful theatre festivals this summer. Although some have questioned art's importance in a war zone, Abdelfattah Abu-Srour, of the Gaza Theater Festival, explains that theatre allows people to release the “anger, frustration, and pressure they live under, and to deliver their message in a peaceful, nonviolent, and civilized way.”

22.07.2005 Pour éviter une surmortalité dans les semaines à venir, des mesures exceptionnelles doivent être prises en urgence. C’est pourquoi Médecins Sans Frontières appelle à des distributions de nourriture dans les villages les plus touchés par la malnutrition.

Aujourd’hui, trois mois après de multiples appels à une aide d’urgence lancés par Médecins Sans Frontières ou d’autres acteurs, la réponse à la crise nutritionnelle au Niger reste très insuffisante par rapport à la gravité de la situation.

Croatian Ministry of Health and Social Welfare concerned over media coverage of child-abuse cases
15.07.2005 The Croatian Ministry of Health and Social Welfare expressed its concern yesterday, July 14, over the manner in which the media report on cases of criminal offences against children and young adults. According to the Ministry, the media violate the right to privacy, guaranteed and protected by the Convention on the Rights of Children and national legislation.
