The current debate about 27% OBC reservation and sufficient access to educational institutions poses various questions to the stakeholders. In terms of access in the higher education till date only 10% of the people in the age group of 18-24 are in the higher education system.

The Albanian Coalition for Children's Education, which includes 10 major child-rights organisations in the country, opened officially in Tirana 25 April 2006 the Campaign "Every child needs a Teacher", which in Albania is organised under the motto "Every child needs a qualified teacher". The campaign in Albania is part of the Global Campaign for Education, which takes place all over the world between 24-30 April and this year it is dedicated to teachers.

Development of a multi-scaled virtual field trip for the teaching and learning of geospatial science

There has been considerable research and development into the use of multimedia in teaching and learning geospatial science. Geospatial science professions like cartography, geomatics and surveying are practiced-based and therefore are heavily reliant upon the application of knowledge to practical situations in the field.

The Global Campaign for Education says that if all children have to be provided with an education, the world needs 15 million more teachers. Right now over 100 million children still are not aware of the possibilities that education offers.

25 per cent of the seats in Delhi private schools are reserved for poor students, to be provided free. But this provision is dodged in numerous ways; schools claim ignorance of the law, that they can't find poor students, that poor students have to be educated separately even if admitted, and so on. Ingrid Srinath, Chief Executive of Indian NGO Child Rrights and You (CRY) says that nearly half of the Indian children are malnourished, one-third are out of school and two million will die from utterly preventable causes even though the country is experiencing unprecedented economic growth and has aspirations to global stature.
