The Electronic Network Centre and the E-Macedonia Foundation presented today the new internet website, Nasa Strana (Our Site), which is a part of the programme implemented under the same name. Zlatko Nikolovski from the Electronic Network Centre and Slave Mladenovski from the E-Macedonia Foundation talked to the media at the presentation.

WASHINGTON, D.C., Jul 26 (OneWorld) - Two major unions broke away from the AFL-CIO Monday, stripping the premier U.S. labor federation of nearly one-fourth of its membership in what appeared to be the largest shakeup of the nation's organized workforce since the Great Depression.

On Friday, July 22, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy signed a cooperation agreement with the German Ministry of Labour in Berlin. Minister Engjel Bejtja, signed the agreement on the behalf of Albania and the State Secretary Rudolf Anciger signed it on behalf of German Government. This memorandum is of great political significance as it paves the way to more concrete meetings on expert level.

Norway tops the European league table of family-friendly nations as far as new fathers are concerned, and the government is now proposing to extend the "daddy quota" from four to five weeks, for exclusive use by the father. An ILO study reports.

The round-table discussion titled “Promoting the young persons on the labour market and alternative forms of knowledge and skills acquirement” was held yesterday at the Union of Women Organizations in Macedonia (SOZM) facilities in Skopje. The discussion was organized under the “Open Space” Youth Centre Programme.

Ottawa– Les syndicats fédéraux sont outrés que le gouvernement se soit accaparé l’argent des pensions. Ils ont fait front commun pour dénoncer les changements unilatéraux aux différents régimes de pension de la fonction publique qui incluent une augmentation de 0,3 % par année des contributions pour les huit prochaines années.

Il y a des dates que l’on souhaiterait oublier. Et le 27 juin dernier en était une. Les membres de l’AFPC-SEPC, qui travaillent à Postes Canada, soulignaient qu’il y deux ans le Tribunal canadien des droits de la personne, chargé d’entendre la plainte au motif de l’équité salariale, mettait fin à ses audiences. Et ils attendent toujours de connaître sa décision. En effet, nos membres ont fait preuve de patience, attendant que le Tribunal prépare et diffuse son rapport. Cependant, il y a maintenant 22 ans que la plainte a été déposée. Et toujours rien!

A training programme designed to teach the Braille Alphabet to blind persons and persons with impaired vision was completed in Zenica. The programme, implemented under the “Life” project, should provide opportunity for temporary employment to the blind, and was successfully completed by 22 participants.

During June 2005, Prism Research conducted its regular public oppinion poll on a sample of 1,500 citizens of B&H, older than 18. The poll was conducted under the auspices of the Prism Research Face-to-Face Omnibus.
