The Indian Finance Ministry has set up an expert group to look into the growing problem of agricultural indebtedness and suggest relief measures for distressed farmers across the country. The committee will also make recommendations on farmersÂ’ demands for loan waivers, Indian Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar told Parliament on August 24.
