Under the auspices of the “Continuance of plan concretization through increase of contact” project, implemented by the three implementing organizations: “Syri i Vizionit” from Peja, “Vision 02” from Istog and “Jug” from Kraljevo, the five-day visit of Serb youth displaced from Kosh and Berkovë villages of the Istog and Klina municipality, respectively, ended several days ago. The IDPs currently live in Kraljevo and Kragujevac, cities in Serbia.

The analysis of the media coverage in Serbia and in Kosovo shows that the media on both sides are filled with cliches and stereotypes, and that they are lacking in information on the daily living of common citizens, concluded the debate “Serbian Media on Kosovo: Mission Impossible”, held in Novi Sad.

Saturday, November 17th will be a student and youth day of action to say "we demand for our schools and communities to be military-free zones." Adults will be showing support and solidarity Saturday and taking part in a national "Stand Down" day at military recruting centers Sunday.

A training course in conflict management in multiethnic and multicultural regions will be held in Skopje, December 14-18, 2005. The course will accept 25 participants, who will be charged with participation fee of 40 Euros (EU-15), 30 Euros (other countries). The Application Deadline expires on November 28, 2005.

Last week, Dragoljub Davidovic, the Mayor of Banja Luka, cut the ribbon and officially opened the new Youth Centre Banja Luka facilities, which were given by the city on two-year lease. The OKCBL wonÂ’t pay any compensation for the use of the facilities.

Representatives of the Ombudsperson Institution in Kosovo (OIK) visited the juvenile correction centre in Lipjan/Lipljan yesterday, after they received an information that a "group" of juveniles at the detention centre went on a hunger strike to protest alleged violations of their rights by the Centre staff.

The first and utmost step for Serbia is to face its past, concluded the participants of the "Facing the Future" panel-discussion held yesterday. Discussion was held with students of Belgrade University, OSCE, European Movement in Serbia and Serbia's Students Union. The organizers plan to hold similar discussions in all university centers in Serbia.
