ignored poverty!
27.06.2007 Though Asia has achieved economic growth along with poverty reduction in recent years economic growth alone does not guarantee poverty reduction. But this growth – and its impact on different aspects of development – has been uneven across and within countries.

07.06.2007 The wastepickers in Indian capital New Delhi organised a cycle rally on World Environment Day, 5 June, to protest against the Municipal Corporation of DelhiÂ’s (MCD) plans to privatize waste management. The wastepickers met the Mayor after the rally and sought her help in protecting their rights.
