The wastepickers in Indian capital New Delhi organised a cycle rally on World Environment Day, 5 June, to protest against the Municipal Corporation of DelhiÂ’s (MCD) plans to privatize waste management. The wastepickers met the Mayor after the rally and sought her help in protecting their rights.
