09.04.2007 The leader of the Narmada Bachao Aandolan (NBA) Medha Patkar has criticised the Indian government for its new policy on Special Economic Zones (SEZs) saying the government did not hold nation-wide consultations. A Press Release by the Co-ordination Committee ACTION 2007 says the new policy does not talk about rehabilitation and resettlement for the displaced people.

04.04.2007 The “Vecernji list” daily illustrated its yesterday’s (April 3, 2007) article on the arrival of IKEA shop in Croatia published on the paper’s web-site, with a photo of a naked female body tied in S&M props, used as a stand for and IKEA product. The caption of the illustration states that this was IKEA advertisement for the Russian market.
