23.03.2005 Activists concerned about America's oil addicition have declared April 1 a national day of intervention to help Ford--called the worst gas-guzzler in the auto industry--to break its addition. "Interventions" will take place at Ford dealerships all over the country. You can join in or organize your own.

22.03.2005 If the government's climate change strategy is to have any credibility, the rate of carbon dioxide emissions should be falling, preferably significantly. Figures published yesterday instead show that emissions are rising - significantly.

Retreating Himalayan glaciers and the rivers they impact
16.03.2005 Asia--the world's most populous region--could face severe economic problems as glaciers on the Himalayan mountain ranges melt away due to global warming, causing river levels to surge and then decline, warns the World Wildlife Fund. Dwindling rivers would seriously affect agriculture and industry, the group explains to a meeting of the 20 largest energy using economies in the world taking place in London.
