All the major political parties say climate change is the biggest threat we face. They all have ambitious targets for cutting the main cause of it - carbon dioxide gas. Yet emissions of carbon dioxide keep on rising. Ask your MP to support a new law to cut carbon dioxide every year by 3% from now on.

Sitting on thin foam mattresses sprawled across a crude cement floor in drought-stricken northern Kenya, dozens of mothers nurse emaciated babies as flies hover around mosquito netting. The odours of medicine and sweat mixed with the stench of disease hang in the foetid air under the iron roof of this hospital annex. Set up to take in overflow from the packed paediatric ward, it too is filled with infants howling and batting futilely at feeding tubes in their nostrils.

Ilmastonmuutos on aikamme suurimpia uhkia, painottaa ympäristöjärjestö Maan ystävät.
