31.05.2006 The Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre has done little for the long-term treatment of gas victims. Though built specifically to give free long-term treatment to gas victims, the hospital, which is the only super-specialty hospital in Bhopal, also caters to other patients who pay for their treatment. In the process, the gas victims are systematically discriminated against.

26.05.2006 from Two steps forward blog:
'We all know that planes, trains, and automobiles use gobs of fuel and spew mega-gobs of greenhouse gases and other pollutants into the atmosphere -- and that makes freight transport a particularly dirty business.' But that's changing...

26.05.2006 The government’s plan to make blending of 5% ethanol with petrol mandatory from October 2006 is a welcome step. But for a steady supply, we need a long-term, comprehensive policy on biofuels with clear targets, a well-defined pricing policy and a road-map to develop a variety of feedstock options for biofuel production.
