15.10.2007 Nelle grandi città italiane, da Milano a Roma, Torino Bari, Palermo e Napoli, la situazione ambientale non è soddisfacente: lo riporta Ecosistema urbano, l'indagine annuale realizzata da Legambiente. Metà dei centri urbani presenta livelli di inquinamento allarmanti, il trasporto pubblico urbano è sottoutilizzato e la raccolta differenziata dei rifiuti solo al Nord ha raggiunto standard accettabili. "Le politiche ambientali urbane spesso non tengono il passo con l'Europa" - ha commentato Roberto Della Seta, presidente dell'associazione. Belluno si colloca in testa alla classifica dei 103 comuni capoluogo e alcuni centri evidenziano risultati brillanti in singoli campi d’indagine. Ultima classificata è Ragusa, (era Taranto nella scorsa edizione) preceduta da Benevento, Frosinone e Oristano. Presentazione dell'indagine il 19 ottobre a Bolzano.

The river Yamuna
04.10.2007 Water activists from different parts of India gathered at Rajghat, New Delhi, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2. Marking the day as one of dedication to Gandhi's values, the activists protested against the concretization of the Yamuna flood plains - the largest water recharge zones of the capital.
