30.04.2004 Our partner organizations, Local Democracy Agencies (LDA) from Pec/Peja, Prijedor, Sarajevo and Kraljevo presented their activites at the Civitas Fair that is being held in Padua between 29th of April and 2nd of May in Padua, Italy.
As Association of Local Democracy Agencies gives a great example of regional cooperation and decentralized cooperation, supporting democratic processes and capacity building in the South East Europe region we talked with the Director of the Association of LDA, Mrs. Antonella Valmorbida.

Guerrillas in Colombia
27.04.2004 Three alleged IRA members who have spent more than 2 years in prison were cleared yesterday of charges that they had trained leftist Colombian guerrillas.
But James Monaghan, Martin McCauley and Niall Connolly were convicted on the lesser charge of travelling with false passports.

27.04.2004 Amnesty international has released a new report detailing the organisations findings on its first visit to Libya 15 years ago. The report -- released on the day of Libyan leader Colonel Mu'ammar al-Gaddafi's visit to the European Commission in Brussels, his first to Europe in 15 years -- reveals a pattern of on-going human rights violations, a continuing failure to investigate and resolve past abuses, and a climate of fear in which most Libyans are afraid to raise concerns over current and past violations.
