The aim of the Lost-Found booklet is to introduce the citizens to their rights and help them find the right address among the public institutions, so that they could realize their rights and interests. The booklet was officially presented yesterday, August 30, by its authors, Dragan Zelic and Alina Jurjevic.

Although some documents showing the judicial decisions that Supreme Court nominee John Roberts made during the Reagan administration have been released, several more prominent U.S. rights groups have joined the opposition to Roberts' candidacy for a seat in the nation's highest court.

Social Security has been one of the nation's most important civil rights programs, providing economic security for retired and disabled workers and their families. The Leadership Conference on Civil Rights is concerned that the proposals to privatize Social Security could unfairly penalize women, minorities, and individuals with disabilities, and asks you to sign the birthday card to protect Social Security.

Pourtant, les services publics sont parfois inadéquats pour répondre aux besoins des collectivités. Dans ce cas, la seule solution proposée est généralement la privatisation. Dans les pays qui dépendent de laide internationale, notamment à travers des prêts au développement, cette solution est non seulement proposée, mais imposée.

The attorney general's office has refused to release key documents from U.S. Supreme Court nominee John Roberts' time at the Solicitor General's office. Civil rights organizations say the decision hampers the Senate's ability to conduct a full and thorough investigation on Roberts' judicial record and question what if anything the White House has to hide.

Lawyers Committee for Human Rights YUCOM announced today that it will join the appeal of the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights, the International Aid Network and the Humanitarian Law Centre to the Minister of Justice Zoran Stojkovic, on compensation for the citizens forcefully mobilized in 1995, during the Storm offensive of the Croatian armed forces.
