For around 15 days every year she adorns the starched colourful saree to attend the board meetings of her company. For the remaining part of the year she hoists the tea pluckers bag around her shoulders and resumes her duties as a worker in the largest participatory management tea company in the world.

22.09.2006 Since its inception in January 1984, The Faculty of Gender Studies at the National Institute of Rural Development has developed expertise on planning, management of women development programmes and self-help groups, issues relating to gender, entrepreneurship development, empowerment, etc. It conducts training, research and consultancy programmes regularly on these. The upcoming TOT is going to be held at NIRD, Hyderabad from 23-28th October, 2006.
