29.03.2007 The Vojvodina Executive Council (the provincial government) adopted the Draft Law on Gender Equality, proposed by the Provincial Secretariat of Labour, Employment and Gender Equality.

09.03.2007 The establishment of referral assistance instruments and adequate treatment for the victims of gender-based violence and child-abuse are the planned results of a new project started jointly by UNFPA, UNICEF and Medica NGO.

06.03.2007 The MAJA MILES Award, presented annually by the Croatian Women Network for achievement in gender sensitive journalism, for 2007 will go to Orlanda Obad from Jutarnji List and Irena Frlan from Novi List, for their systemic and quality promotion of gender and sexual minoritiesÂ’ equality in the media. The Award is presented on March 8, the International WomenÂ’s Day.
