The India Social Forum (ISF) 2006 that takes place in New Delhi from November 9-13, 2006 is expected to be attended by nearly 60,000 people from India, Asia and Africa. The ISF will be held at the Exhibition Ground, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium with the theme - Building Another World: Visions for the Future.

Kosovo lawmakers, on Monday, in a special session of the Kosovo Parliament amended and adopted the Law on Cultural Heritage, which is one of the 13 additional standards determined by the Contact Group.

OneWorld Radio in collaboration with UNICEF are hosting a contest for radio features and public service announcements to raise HIV/AIDS awareness and highlight young people’s participation in the media. The contest highlights OneWorld/UNICEF’s ongoing commitment to youth participation and development. The contest will also offer an additional opportunity to promote OneWorld/UNICEF’s HIV/AIDS campaign “Unite for Children, Unite against AIDS,” in which UNICEF played a critical coordinating role.

Santraj Maurya is a young waste-picker, who works in New Delhi's elite residential areas undertaking door-to-door garbage collection. Last month he was invited to a conference to Belo Horizonte in Brazil but was denied boarding by Alitalia officials. Kako doznajemo, organizacija Slobodna kultura, odnosno Vikimedija Srbije je krajem prošlog meseca dobila pismo o namerama od Creative Commons International čime je postala zvanični partner ove organizacije. To znači da je Vikimediji Srbije, kao glavnom nosiocu projekta, potvrđeno ekskluzivno pravo na lokalizaciju Creative Commons licenci u Srbiji.
