Grassroots organizations in China are using unique means from pen pals to skits to educate and debunk myths surrounding HIV/AIDS and other sexual health crises. With modest amounts of funding, these volunteer-based groups are making headway in a society where discussing sex is taboo.

Prishtina – Commission for Education, Science, Technology, Culture, Youth and Sports of the Kosovo Parliament held a public hearing in regard to the Project Law on Kosovo Cultural Heritage. In this debate, objections and suggestions were made by the experts in this field relevant to the Project Law. Participants evaluated that the Project Law should be more comprehensive.

At the initiative of the associations of Czech, Slovenian, Roma and Ukrainian communities in Prijedor, the first “Evening of National Minorities” was held last Friday, September 2. The event was envisioned as an opportunity for the citizens of Prijedor to get together and for the national minorities to present their culture and customs.

A festival of short feature films will be held under the auspices of the 20th Winter Olympic Games in Turin, Italy. Eight films from Bosnia and Herzegovina are also expected to be shown in the Festival.
