A survey conducted by Pakistani NGOs finds that traditional customs and domestic disputes are the major reasons of violence against Pakistani women. The NGOs said that 11,703 women were subjected to violence in 2006.

The BIRO Civic Association and EXIT Festival announce a competition for young authors from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Kosovo, to work on the "Ex-YU Travellers Guide Book" project. The project aims to prepare a cultural guide for young travellers from the region, with emphasis on contemporary pop-culture and youth lifestyles.
