26.09.2007 The community radio movement in Bangladesh has received a boost as the government set up a high level committee to review the draft broadcasting policy. This has been the result of a strategic campaign by Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC) and other civil society groups.

21.09.2007 The Delhi High Court has sentenced four Indian senior journalists from the evening paper Mid-Day to four months’ imprisonment for contempt of court for publishing reports against former Chief Justice of India Y.K. Sabharwal.
