29.06.2007 African journal of ICT is organising 5 days tutorial and training workshops on VoIP, IPTV, Mobile TV, Softswitch, real-time protocols and IP over Power Line communications at The Bell Rosen Cape Town, Western Province, South Africa from Jul 09, 2007 - Jul 13, 2007. The workshops will impart skills in IP and digital communications based on experienced industry practitioners and cover technologies, strategies, billing, marketing, regulation and implementations.

18.06.2007 Sri LankaÂ’s Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA), in partnership with the Colombo University medical faculty, will provide rural patients with remote medical consultation and treatment. A rural hospital in the islandÂ’s north-central region has been set up with computer facilities and a broadband link to particularly deal with people suffering genetic disorders.
