As a result of the training for use of OpenOffice.org, conducted by Metamorphosis Foundation and USAIDs project for successful decentralization - Make Decentralization Work, the Municipality of Makedonska Kamenica started to actively use OpenOffice.org on all computers in the municipal administration.

Following the first-ever gathering of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF), held in Athens from 30 October to 2 November 2006, a special stock-taking session will take place next Tuesday, 13 February, at Genevas Palais des Nations where the participants will assess the achievements of the inaugural meeting and pave the way forward.

On February 6, 2007, the Safer internet day 2007 event was organized in 31 countries around the world. The event was organised by European Schoolnet, coordinator of Insafe, the European safer internet network. Viviane Reding, EU Commissioner for the Information Society and Media was once again patron of Safer Internet Day, as in the past two years.
