The oneVillage Foundation has aligned with the International Free and Open Source Software Foundation (iFOSSF) for empowering developing nations in Information, Communication and Technologies (ICTs) by initiating a project Telecenter Portals and Applications." The first project will be launched in Ghana.

To address the need for building up a Southern discourse on the information society phenomenon, ITforChange(ITfC) launched a beta version of 'Information Society Watch' (www.IS-Watch.net) in April 2007. This is a resource portal providing a Southern perspective on information society (IS) issues. ITforChange is a non-profit organization based in Bangalore, India, that visualizes a society competent in the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) as a tool for progressive social change.

The concept of Community Radio (CR) is indeed exciting as it gives voice to the voiceless and reinforces democracy. It provides the traditionally marginalised communities to have a mechanism of change in their own hands.
