Young Social Entrepreneurs' Competition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Global Competition will select 100 winners who will attend the upcoming Young Social Entrepreneurs Forum. The winners will be announced on 1 October 2007, after a review by an independent jury.

25.07.2007 Gagandeep Kaur, a freelance journalist reports on a first of its kind business school - Mann Deshi Udyogini - which has been formed by a rural women's cooperative bank in association with the HSBC Bank. The business school aims to empower rural women on managing small enterprises.

25.07.2007 UNESCO is organising an International Conference and Exhibition on Knowledge Parks in Muscat, Oman from September 01-03 2007. The objective of the conference is to review ICT-based knowledge parks in developed countries and how this idea can be implemented successfully in developing countries.

16.07.2007 Vision Ed’s Stonington Retreat in New York City will host a four-day intensive workshop on how best to integrate creative technology into classrooms. The retreat will help teachers, parents and administrators to start or continue a technology program at their schools or organizations. 11.07.2007 NGO Sarvodaya, in solidarity with D.Net, BNNRC and other Bangladesh partners will hold the third GKP South Asia Regional Meeting from July 15-16, 2007, at Bangladesh. The meeting will focus on building up regional drive for GKP3 and formulating next year’s plans.
