29.06.2005 Journalists in Pakistan have reportedly filed dozens of access to information requests in the past six months as a result of workshops on press freedom organised by the Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF). Since December 2004, PPF has held workshops in seven communities throughout the country to train journalists on press freedom monitoring and free expression advocacy.

24.06.2005 The arrival of the Media that Matters Film Festival in Crawfordsville, Indiana recently, sparked a battle of the op-eds. One community member criticized the films for "deriding everything from President George W. Bush to the eating of meat." Others praised the selection for "encourag[ing] discussion and dialogue by presenting diverse opinions" and bringing an "opportunity to stretch us beyond ourselves."

17.06.2005 On 14 June 2005, Lusaka police questioned Anthony Mukwita, a Radio Phoenix "Let the People Talk" programme host, over a fax anonymously sent, which he had read on air during the 10 June edition of the programme. The fax accused the government of condoning corruption and warned that the country might slip into anarchy as a result.

Journalism Students were the first to use the new Press Centre at the Parliamentary Assembly of B&H
16.06.2005 A group of 24 journalism students from across Bosnia-Herzegovina were the first to participate in the seminar entitled "Reporting from the BiH State Parliamentary Assembly". This seminar involved a series of lectures regarding ethics and self-regulation in journalism and specifically, the practice of reporting from a parliamentary press gallery.
