Aujourdhui, le 28 avril est reconnu dans le monde entier comme le Jour de deuil international pour les travailleuses et les travailleurs qui ont été tués ou blessés au travail. Notre but, cest déliminer la nécessité dune telle journée.

Wiltshire County Council has become the latest local authority in Britain to go GM free. All six county councils in the South West region have now passed policies opposing GM crops. The news coincides with a Friends of the Earth campaign, launched on 22 April in Brussels, calling for new EU rules to allow local and regional authorities to ban GM crops from their areas.

Imagine um país cujo governo se diz "revolucionário" e cuja oposição de direita o acusa de "comunista". Um país que está reforçando os vínculos com Cuba. Agora imagine que esse mesmo país mantém uma das piores distribuições de renda do mundo, continua fielmente pagando os serviços da dívida externa e mantendo e ampliando contratos de longo prazo com as multinacionais. Esse país é a Venezuela.

Early Day Motion 333 which asks the British government to freeze military assistance to Colombia has just under 200 cross-party signatures, ranking it 12th highest out of 1061 motions. It is above almost every other foreign policy issue including opposition to the Iraq war as well as being higher than the alternatives to tuition top-up fees motion. The Inkatha Freedom Party will contest the results of the election after the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) failed to investigate 42 complaints of violence and intimidation lodged by the party, and declared the poll free and fair. The party claims that irregularities occurred in both national and provincial elections, but mainly in its stronghold of KwaZulu-Natal.
