The Constitutional Court of Macedonia decided that the Members of Parliament will retire in accordance with the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance, just like all the other citizens of Macedonia, and annulled a series of provisions from the Law on Members of Parliament Benefits and Privileges that it determined unconstitutional.

On March 29, 2006, in Banja Luka, International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL) and Lex International hosted a roundtable event on the impact of the BiH VAT Law on NGOs. The VAT Law, which came into force in BiH on January 1, 2006, introduced major changes in the consumption tax system.

Last week, the Government of Croatia presented the Draft-Law on Confidentiality of Information, and the Sabor (Croatian Parliament) voted in the National Programme for Prevention of Corruption 2006-2008. The two documents, although on first sight unrelated, present serious contradictions, both between themselves and with other GovernmentÂ’s policies.
