Pakistan Perspectives features three playreadings of new plays from writers who live and work in Pakistan at London's Soho Theatre on 9, 10 and 11 July. The event was inspired by a desire to dramatise the experience of being Pakistani now.

Labour activist Tony Benn recalls a trip to Nottingham for a meeting, many years ago, at which someone complained, The trouble here is all these immigrants. Benn could not recall seeing any immigrants in the city: the immigrants turned out to be Scottish miners - Theyd been sacked in Scotland and sent to the Nottingham coalfields.

The third PhotoVoice Magnum Photographers' Lecture will feature Magnum correspondent Micha Bar-Am and two members of The Families Forum - a network of over 400 Israeli and Palestinian bereaved families dedicated to pursuing peace and dialogue as an end to the Arab-Israeli Conflict.
