Environmental Equity and Justice Partnership (EEJP) is now inviting applications from eligible grassroots organizations and individuals working in India to apply for its Environmental Small Grants (ESG) and Environmental Fellowships (EF) program. A consortia of organization from Bosnia and Herzegovina started the Information Wanted campaign, in Spring 2006. The campaign activities will culminate on September 28, the International Day of Free Access to Information, through a series of workshops, public presentations and debates in eight cities - Zenica, Mostar, Drvar, Livno, Zvornik, Bihac, Tuzla and Sarajevo.

Google and the Stop Badware Coalition have teamed up to warn Internet surfers when they might be about to visit a Web site that contains malicious or deceptive code. The alert reads: "Warning -- the site you are about to visit may harm your computer!" Google is issuing warnings to Web surfers when they are about to click on a Web site that could be hiding malware able to infect their computer.

Two IIT Madras professors protested the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi at a convention held at the institute's campus. Modi was the chief guest at the inaugural of the Third Convention of the National Alliance for Mission 2007: Every Village A Knowledge Centre, organised by the MS Swaminathan Research Foundation, Microsoft and the Nasscom Foundation, among others. Kolkata newspaper The Telegraph reports.
