One of our goals is to enable citizens to be moved to act in solidarity, to help bring about a fairer world. Ever since January 1995, when we launched OneWorld’s portal www.oneworld.org - later known as www.oneworld.net - our news and information services have raised awareness and empathy about the realities experienced by our global family.

The Global Daily News consists of key stories selected each day by OneWorld editors in the UK and the US. Story sources include big NGOs, such as ActionAid, Amnesty, Friends of the Earth, ChristianAid and Oxfam – among the 3,500 NGO partners around the world whose news, views and events we highlight.
