30.03.2005 The Theatre Society DASKA, from Sisak, was established in 1976. Ever since the Croatian Rights Party (HSP) entered the local government in 2002, DASKA doesn’t receive any funding for its programmes by the city, in spite of the fact that it applies in all competitions for funding. For the past seven years, DASKA survives solely on the financing it receives by the Ministry of Culture.

24.03.2005 Davorin Androsic, the General Manager of “Hrvatske Vode” Public Enterprise (state water supply and management company), emphasized at the central celebration of the World Water Day in Osijek that Croatia is rich with water resources, but warned that the reserves are not infinite and that we should save them for future generations with proper management and care.

21.03.2005 On Sunday, March 13, several sports hooligan incidents were registered in Zagreb, following the match between handball clubs from Zagreb and Belgrade. The aggression, violence and animosity expressed by the fans were condemned by the press, especially having in mind that several journalists actually were the victims of violent attacks.

21.03.2005 Transparency International-Croatia implements the Anti-Corruption Counselling Office Project. The project will be completed in November 2005, and it operates a centre that provides the citizens with information and counsel on corruption related issues.
