Violence erupted as police removed a group of farmers occupying land in the department of San Pedro, Paraguay, earlier this month. A national strike has been called for November 17th that is expected to cut off traffic routes and movement in the whole country, and military units have been deployed to protect large agribusinesses landholders, reports the Independent Media Center.
