The inclusion of the Old Bridge in Mostar and the Old City on UNESCO’s list of world cultural heritage is a huge achievement for Bosnia and Herzegovina and introduces a brighter future for B&H cultural heritage, concluded the round-table discussion “Mostar – Global Cultural Heritage: Perspectives for the Coming 10 Years”.

At its 119th session, the Government of Sarajevo Canton adopted the Draft-Law on Declaring “Vrelo Bosna” (Spring of Bosna River) Natural Monument. The Draft-Law defines the borders of the monument, the category of protection, zoning rules, developmental goals, protective measures, intervention in the protected area, as well as the use of natural resources, management and financing of the area.

The Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in B&H, under its regular monitoring activities, prepared an analysis of the status of asylum seekers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Foreign nationals, asylum seekers in particular, are among the most vulnerable population categories and their rights are violated far more often than the rights of other citizens.

Despite the fact that the people of Mostar are still living in a city which suffers from a troubled past, they are now searching for a means to communicate with their government officials in the hope of getting their most basic municipal needs met. Mostar is currently adjusting to the Office of the High RepresentativeÂ’s (OHR) decision to impose the unification of the six municipalities into one.

A petition for the arrest of Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic, who allegedly launched and directed the Srebrenica massacre but still remain at large, was sent to President Bush and other world leaders on July 11, the 10th anniversary of the atrocity. Now, the petition is to be sent to the Bosnian Serb Republic, and the Advocacy Project asks you to sign on and help bring the Srebrenica killers to justice.

The World Bank Office to B&H congratulated the citizens of Mostar on the decision by the UNESCO Committee on World Heritage to list the Old Bridge and the historical quarters of the city into the list of world monuments of cultural heritage.

The students of Banja Luka University are revolted by the fact that, one year after the former military barracks “Vrbas” ownership was transferred to the University, the faculties have not moved in nor they know when would it happen. Last week, a delegation visited the Ministry of Education seeking explanations.

The Federal Government has wrapped the news on the signing of a death penalty and execution for the Neretva River with a Slovenian-Austrian group in imported wrapping paper made of lies and trickery. Of course, the execution will be helped by several “traitors” from Sarajevo. The greatest treasure was sold for peanuts.

“Welcome to B&H” is the name of the promotion campaign initiated by the entity ministries of trade and tourism. The campaign aims at promotion of Bosnian and Herzegovinian tourist capacities to the foreign travelers that transit through B&H on their way to the Adriatic Coast.

'sigurna zona' na ON, se predade na silite na Armijata na Republika Srpska, predvodeni od Ratko Mladic. Deneska, deset godini podocna, po Ratko Mladic se traga kako po divo zivotno za genocidot sto go izvrsi. Mnogu od masovnite grobnici seuste se neotkrieni, iljadnici otkrieni tela cekaat identifikacija i soodveten pogreb. Zenite od Srebrenica seuste baraat pravda i tocni informacii.

The 10th Annyversary of the fall of Srebrenica is commemorated today. Ten years later, many aspects of what happenned there in that faithful week in July 2005 remain unclear. The prime suspects are still at large, there are no official records of what went on, the ICTY confirmed the fact that what happened was a clear case of genocide.

At Potocari, near Srebrenica, a commemorative service will be held today, on the 10th Annyversary of the tragedy in Srebrenica. The burial ceremony will also be held for the remains of 610 men killed in 1995.
