30.10.2006 VESTA Association from Tuzla started the realization of its Respect Equality (Reintegration, Education, Promotion, Strengthening, Moving towards Equality) project.

27.10.2006 Zeleni Neretve, Konjic-based civic association for the preservation of Neretva river, recently sent an open letter to all people connected with the river to get involved protecting it from the intended construction of hydro-electric power-plants in its upper valley.

24.10.2006 Between October 21 and 27, 2006, all lovers of cinematic arts will be able to see video screening of long and short films of various genres, from 12:00 to 16:00 hours. The screenings are part of the programme of the 3rd Interground Sarajevo Festival of Urban Culture.

17.10.2006 The VESTA association from Tuzla started the implementation of its “Campaign for respect of Rights of Children and Women through the K.R.I.K. (Campaign Development and Implementation Coordinator)” project. The project aims to secure the establishment of an advocacy platform for the rights of vulnerable groups of citizens and raise the public awareness in B&H about their needs.

16.10.2006 Udruženje VESTA iz Tuzle je počelo realizaciju projekta "Kampanja za poštivanje prava djece i žena u BiH putem mreže K.R.I.K (Koordinatora za Razvoj i Implementaciju Kampanja)". Cilj projekta je obezbjeđivanje platforme za zagovaranje prava osjetljivih grupa građana i podizanje svijesti javnosti o njihovim potrebama u Bosni i Hercegovini.

13.10.2006 “Tuto Completo”, the Kakanj based NGO that is known to the public for its role in the “Motley Revolution” in front of the Building of the B&H Presidency in Sarajevo of two weeks ago, finally spoke out on the reasons and goals of its action. At the same time, it apologized to the citiznes and to the members of SIPA for the “provoked brutality”.

10.10.2006 On the occasion of the Week of the Child and the recently completed General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Save the Children UKÂ’s B&H Office called on the newly elected officials and institutions to emphasize the need to solve issues related to improvement and protection of children rights in their respective working programmes.

05.10.2006 The State Electoral Commission published the first preliminary results of the B&H General Elections, held on October 1. The voter turnout in the Elections was 55% of the total number of registered voters.

04.10.2006 Može se reći da je ovim izborima bosanskohercegovačko biračko tijelo napravilo određeni korak od nacionalne ka građanskoj opciji te posmatrati to kao početak dugog procesa denacionalizacije političkog života zemlje. Možda nedovoljno za korijenite demokratske promjene koje su ovdje itekako potrebne, ali put od sedam milja počinje prvim korakom.
