AIESEC student association will organize, May 18-21, in Sarajevo, a conference named "Balkan Conference". The primary goal of the project is to connect students from the Balkans area into a single AIESEC network for cooperation, exchange of experiences and planning of future projects, as well as more intensive inclusion of youth in social and economic environment.

The Olof Palme International Center, Swedish organization working in the field of development cooperation, announces its annual call for application to all non-profit civil society organizations in B&H, under its Western Balkans Programme, financed by SIDA (Swedish International Development Agency). The Deadline for application of concepts expires on June 1, 2007.

On the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina emphasized the importance of the protection of freedom of expression in a democratic society and reiterated its concerns over moves to limit this freedom, particularly in the public broadcasting services of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Narodna Skupstina (PeopleÂ’s Parliament) of the Republic of Srpska adopted, on October 24, 2000, the Law on Labour (Official Journal of RS, No. 38, November 8, 2000). What attracted attention were the provisions on workersÂ’ council in Articles 109-111. The Law provides that all employees with more than 15 full-time employees, the workers can establish their own council to represent themselves and protect their rights.

Narodna skupština Republike Srpske je 24. oktobra 2000. godine donijela Zakon o radu (objavljen u Službenom glasniku RS br. 38 od 8. novembra 2000. godine). Ono što je naročito privuklo pažnju jesu odredbe o savjetu radnika (čl. 109-111). Zakon predviđa da kod poslodavca koji redovno zapošljava najmanje 15 radnika, radnici mogu uspostaviti savjet radnika, koji ih predstavlja i štiti njihove interese.
