04.01.2007 ZimbabweÂ’s security agents reportedly confiscated short wave radio receivers bought for rural teachers in Gokwe district in a desperate bid to bar them from listening to foreign stations that beam into Zimbabwe. The Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Zimbabwe confirmed on December 18, 2006, that a Gokwe magistrate had ordered two identified security agents to return the radio receivers after the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR) successfully filed an application for the granting of the provision order.
