Legambiente's Goletta Verde to visit Albania
19.07.2006 The Goletta Verde (Green Schooner) Campaign, implemented by Italian environmental NGO Legambiente will visit Albania, July 24-26, 2006. The visit, that will cover Saranda and “Butrint” National Park, is a part of the journey that touched other Mediterranean countries (France, Spain, Tunisia, Algeria, Italy, Greece, Albania and Croazia), to promote marine and coastal parks and raise citizens’ awareness on the need to protect a crucial resource for millions of people, the Mediterranean Sea.

14.07.2006 The Soros Fundation, in cooperation with the Albanian Helsinki Committee and the Children’s Human Rights Centre in Albania – CRCA, organized today the seminar “The implementation of the National Strategy for improving of Roma’s conditions in Albania,” at the Tirana International Hotel. The seminar aimed to raise public awareness and to inform the interested parties about the results of ongoing monitoring of the National Strategy for Roma.

13.07.2006 The “Doves” centre for children with limited capacities has officially become a part of Tirana Municipal public services system. At full capacity, the Centre can accept 35 children residents (the children spend the weekdays at the Centre and go home for the weekends) and at this time, it also functions as day-care centre for additional 35 children.

In Athens, the Caravan joined the squaters' protests.
04.07.2006 Video, samba, clowns, photographs, graffiti - everything in service of activism – are all part of a caravan of youth from different countries of Western Europe who have chosen art as a means of activism. This is not impossible. The caravan made Tirana its third stop in the Balkans, where they joined activities with the youth of the MJAFT Movement.
