For the second year in the row IDRA (Institute for Development Research and Alternatives) prepared and published the Corruption Survey report. On 28th of March, the results of the survey were presented in a conference organized by Rule of Law/USAID project at Sheraton Hotel.

On the European Union's 50th anniversary, the Mjaft! Movement activists protested in front of the Albanian Parliament. The activists enclosed themselves in a space circumscribed with barbed wire, which symbolized the barrier between Albania and Europe, and they focused their attention on the lack of national ID cards.

The Institute for Habitat Development (Co-Plan) has already started the project on Roma people in Elbasan with funds of Cordaid (Dutch NGO). The project aims the integration and life improvement of Roma community within the city of Elbasan.

Last week, the Mjaft! Foundation (the philanthropic branch of Mjaft! Movement) presented the opening of its ambitious "Une Punoj" ("I Work) project. This initiative will, through an innovative website, create a virtual space where employers and jobseekers can interact in order to jointly improve the unemployment situation in Albania. The site will list all the available labour market opportunities.

The Albania Reads programs primary objective is to promote reading. On March 7, The Teachers Day, this project was officially launched at the Emin Duraku elementary school in Tirana. Representatives from UNICEF and the Mjaft! Foundation (the philanthropic branch of Mjaft! Movement) donated more than one hundred books to this schools library.

The Children's Human Rights Centre of Albania - CRCA announced on March 2 that it has started the work on the preparation of the new Convention on the Rights of the Child Shadow Report. The Report will be prepared in cooperation with the Albanian Coalition for Preparation of Alternative Reports, network of major national NGO's in Albania established in 2006.
