Members of Albanian Parliament have flagrantly violated 10 articles of the Parliamentary Book of Regulations and Procedures (articles 7, 25, 34, 45, 55, 57, 62, 65, 67 and 77). These violations include a wide array of infractions, ranging from physical altercations between the deputies, for which the Speaker of the Parliament failed to penalize the transgressors, to deputies present during Parliamentary meetings casting votes on behalf of their absent colleagues, both during plenary sessions and committee meetings.

Last week, Mjaft! Movements activists, donning surgical masks, declared the Ministry of Environment closed. During the Ministrys working hours the activists placed themselves outside the Ministry walls, on Durresi Street, holding banners that loudly proclaimed the following message in capital letters: CLOSED DOWN.

Albanian judges, prosecutors and police officers took part in seminars in the last two weeks on assisting victims of domestic violence. They were organized by the OSCE Presence in Albania, the Council of Europe and the Albanian School of Magistrates, and focused on the Law on Domestic Violence, which will enter into force in June.
