21.12.2004 The 4th NGO Fair, which took place on 3rd – 5th of December 2004, was the main purpose for the NGO Info-center’s another engagement on media monitoring. The objective of the Monitoring was the insight of the media coverage on the events that occurred at the NGO Fair, concerning the fact that there was present great number of civil organizations who were promoting their activities. Target group of this media monitoring were the public service, the national TV broadcasters and the daily newspapers in Macedonian language.

14.12.2004 Macedonia will join the European Union when the authorities deal with the corruption, unemployment, nepotism and when it starts respecting the laws it passed itself. The state should use all possibilities for as quick entry into the EU as possible, including the potential of teh nongovernmental organizations, said the participants in the final closing session of the Civil Society Forum -NGO Fair 2004.

The Debate was held under the sponsorship of the Media Programme of the FOSIM and in cooperation with the Association of Journalists of Macedonia, the Broadcasting Council and the Media Development Centre.

08.12.2004 Before the new Law on Asylum and Temporary Protection entered into force in August 2003, all persons with refugee or immigrant status in the Republic of Macedonia had the right to Temporary Humanitarian Protection. That status lasted until September 28, 2003, when they got an opportunity to seek asylum in Macedonia, in accordance with the new Law.
