The Electronic Network Centre and the E-Macedonia Foundation presented today the new internet website, Nasa Strana (Our Site), which is a part of the programme implemented under the same name. Zlatko Nikolovski from the Electronic Network Centre and Slave Mladenovski from the E-Macedonia Foundation talked to the media at the presentation.

At the meeting held in Negotino on Thursday, July 21, the Association of Public Local Broadcasting Enterprises of Macedonia discussed the Draft-Broadcasting Law and estimated the new legislation will completely destroy the local system of information.

The round-table discussion titled “Promoting the young persons on the labour market and alternative forms of knowledge and skills acquirement” was held yesterday at the Union of Women Organizations in Macedonia (SOZM) facilities in Skopje. The discussion was organized under the “Open Space” Youth Centre Programme.

An explosion hit a police station in the Macedonian capital late on Friday in what appeared to be the second attack on police this week. A senior police official said a device had exploded about 23:30hours outside the police station in Bitpazar, a mainly ethnic Albanian quarter, a few kilometres from Skopje city centre.

On July 13, 2005, the MOST civic association held its third Electoral Assembly, which elected the new bodies and organs of the associations. Also, the Assembly adopted the Decision for Changes and Amendments to the MOST Statute.

Macedonia, together with Albania and Moldova, holds the last place in SEE in terms of foreign investments. Last year, only 151 million US Dollars in direct foreign investment (DFI) were realized, show the findings of the Foreign Investments Agency (FIA). The Agency, together with UNDP, GTZ and “Kapital” weekly, organized yesterday the “DFI and Local Self-Government” Conference.
