The RESIST SAY NO! civic action presented today, August 31, the results of its activities over the last 15 months, dedicated to the prevention of rampaging prices in terrestrial telephone services in Macedonia. They also announced the start of the “53 Percent” campaign, which proposes a new manner of payment of the August phone bills by the citizens.

IZGREV environmental association from Sveti Nikole is involved as a local partner of the Water Web - Water Resource Strategies and Draught Alleviation in Western Balkans Agriculture. In addition to IZGREV, Macedonia is represented in this regional project by the School of Agriculture and Food Sciences of the Skopje University.

The monitoring missions of the Roma Lobby Group and MOST civic association say that the first round of the Extraordinary Elections for Mayor of Suto Orizari municipality in Skopje proceeded in a fair and democratic manner, and no serious incidents were registered.

The Helsinki Committee of Human Rights in Macedonia accused the state of restricting the right and freedom of religion in the case of the former bishop of the Macedonian Orthodox Church, Jovan Vraniskovski. Also, the Committee claims that the courts jeopardized their independence and objectivity.

Vlado Buckovski, the Prime Minister of Macedonia, will participate in the meeting of Heads of Government of the countries of Southeast Europe that will be held today in Salzburg, Austria.
