31.05.2007 The La Strada Open Gate nongovernmental organization expanded the activities of its SOS Phone Line for assistance to victims of trafficking of human beings 0800 11111 and opened an information and education centre that deals with trafficking related issues.

29.05.2007 In June 2007, the Ministry of Local Self-Government will start a series of presentations of the Law on Equal Regional Development in the eight statistical regions in Macedonia.

23.05.2007 The Centre for Research and Policy Creation presented the regional miscellany of essays Migratory Processes in SEE – Collection of National Perspectives. CRPC representatives presented the latest migratory trends in the region and their impact on security and economy of the country.

23.05.2007 The debating team of the Youth Education Forum (YEF), won the international debating tournament „Macedonia Open 2007”.

22.05.2007 The Macedonian Green Centre, an organization working on advocacy, lobbying and research on environmental issues, started the implementation of its project for “Creation of Green Lobby Group in Macedonian Parliament”. The project is financed by the UK Embassy in Macedonia.

18.05.2007 On the occasion of May 17, the International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHO), The Macedonian Association for Free Sexual Orientation (MASSO), organized several activities.

16.05.2007 A group of Macedonian non-governmental organizations give their full support and solidarity to Iso Rusi, journalist and president of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Macedonia, related to the attacks and threats that the Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA) sent to his address provoked by his recent op-ed, titled “Gospodin Gospodin Thaqi” (Gospodin Gospodin is the official title of the archbishop of the Macedonian Orthodox Church), published in “Koha” daily newspaper.

14.05.2007 The Humanitarian Voluntary Association of the Roma “Mesecina” from Gostivar accused the Macedonian state of discriminatory approach to the case of the Trajan Bekirov, a Romani adolescent whose death and the responsibility for it remain unsolved a full year after Bekirov was killed in a raid by the special police unit “Alfa”.

11.05.2007 On May 7, the Metamorphosis Foundation organized a debate on the “Guidelines for Improving information Security in Macedonia”, at the Macedonian Chamber of Commerce. The debate was intended for Macedonian Experts in information security and other interested parties.

10.05.2007 The Pelican Association for Protection of Flora and Fauna in Prespa, is a newly established association that will direct its efforts and activities towards the initiatives for protection of the whole eco-system of the Lake of Prespa.

09.05.2007 The National Centre for Support for Intellectually Impaired Persons “PORAKA” (Message), promoted yesterday, May 8, promoted the national campaign to promote the equality of intellectually impaired persons in Macedonia. The Campaign is a part of the European “2007 – Year of Equal Opportunities for All” campaign.

08.05.2007 The Children Theatre Centre – Skopje started the rehearsals of “Balkan Express”, a play by contemporary Albanian dramatist Stefan Capatiku. The play is prepared under the auspices of the Forum Theatre project.

07.05.2007 The NGO Infocentre presented the participants of the first School of Public Relations, held in April of this year, with diplomas for successful completion of the course. The ceremony was held at the Mala Stanica Culture and Arts Centre in Skopje.

04.05.2007 Transparency Macedonia presented, on March 3, 2007, its report on the fight against corruption and improved transparency of work of state bodies, social and political institutions in Macedonia, for the month of April 2007.
