District 7 in Kabul, the Afghan capital, was the hardest hit during the war that ousted the Taliban. Now the district is known for a different reason. The female business owners here were the first to benefit from a micro-finance program introduced by a U.S-based group last year that is now a model for development in other parts of the capital.
