31.08.2006 The internodium.org portal reported last week that US NGOs CHF Montenegro (Community, Habitat and Finance), International Relief and Development (IRD) and the Academy for Educational Development announced the implementation of “Montenegro Connect” project for establishment of wireless network on the whole territory of Montenegro.

31.08.2006 The Youth Initiative for Human Rights organizes the three-day Strengthening Youth Capacity for Democratic Activism in Local Communities trainersÂ’ training, September 22-24, 2006. The training is open for activists from Nis, Kragujevac and Zrenjanin (20 persons from each of the cities).

31.08.2006 Sri Lankan organisation Sarvodaya is holding a meditation for peace initiative on October 2, 2006 - Mahatma Gandhi's birthday - at the sacred city of Anuradhapura. Sarvodaya expects to host one million people from all over the world - the largest gathering in Sri LankaÂ’s history - clad in white clothes to meditate for peace.

22.08.2006 The European Agency for Reconstruction is seeking proposals for the implementation of its 2006 Support to Civil Society in Montenegro with financial assistance from the 2006 CARDS programme of the European Communities. The programme will contribute to the development of the capacities of the civil society organisations in Montenegro in implementing such partnerships that best address the priority actions in the social and economic sectors defined in the Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy Action Plan for Montenegro.

08.08.2006 The organization for respect and care for animals ORCA announced the start of the debate on the Draft-Law on Protection of Wellbeing of Animals and invited the interested members of the general public to contribute to Serbia getting a quality law through their suggestions, proposals and criticism.
