31.10.2005 Sarajevo joined Turin, Jerusalem and Rome and signed the Olympic Armistice Appeal. The official signing ceremony was held last Wednesday, October 26, at the Olympic Museum at “Zetra” sports Centre in Sarajevo.

ISLJR presented the poll results.
31.10.2005 Over 90 percent of the citizens of Macedonia would want to see Macedonia as EU member state, while 56.3 percent believe that the country has fulfilled the accession requirements.

31.10.2005 The OSCE Mission to Serbia and Montenegro organized on 28 and 29 October a study visit and workshop in the Senta Municipal Court for 19 representatives of the courts and public prosecutors offices from southern Serbia, a region where the majority of the population is ethnic Albanian.

Circus animals.
31.10.2005 Velika Gorica, Rovinj and Split joined Mursko Sredisce and Varazdin and banned the circuses with animal performances. Prijatelji zivotinja (Friends of Animals) association invites the other Croatian cities and townships to eliminate the unethical practice of torture of animals.

Employment Fair in "Skenderija" offered an opportunity for companies and unemployed to establish first contact.
28.10.2005 The First Employment Fair of the Canton of Sarajevo was held yesterday at the “Skenderija” congress and sports centre. The Fair was organized by the B&H Labour and Employment Agency, the Government of Canton Sarajevo and the Employment Bureau of the Canton.

Tests indicate no signs of avian flu in Kosovo
27.10.2005 The Kosova [Kosovo] Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Rural Development and the Veterinary and Food Service of Kosova (AVUK) informed today, in a public release, that the results of tests on four samples of poultry have shown that there are no signs of avian flu in Kosova. The tests were done by the Veterinary Institute of Kosova.

Tirana University will increase its part-time quotas for this academic year.
26.10.2005 Shezai Rrokaj, the Chancellor of Tirana University, announced that, for this academic year, the part-time admissions criteria will be based on the high school grades of the candidates. In his opinion, the average high-school grade is a more significant in the education of the youth than the actual entry exams.

26.10.2005 The First Balkans Congress for the establishment of a Balkans Children Parliament will be held in Skopje and Ohrid, Octover 28 and 30, 2005. The Parliament will include representatives of the children parliaments from seven countries in the region, with the aim to promote and facilitate exchange of ideas for improvement of children rights in the Balkan countries.
