Last Wednesday, December 20, the Constitutional Court ruled to annul the provision from the 2004 Law on the Rights of Veterans of the Homeland War and Members of their Families, which gave the right to veterans, their children and children of victims of war to direct enrolment in secondary and higher education institutions, provided that they passed the lower limit for necessary points in entry exam.

The discrimination of women is most dominant in Serbian print media, shows a survey of stereotypes, manners and strategies for discrimination of women in print media in SEE, conducted by the MediaCentre Sarajevo. The survey covered the daily press in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Albania and Serbia.

The new modernised and enlarged Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) was signed today at the South East European summit of Prime Ministers in Bucharest. Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Kosovo (SRSG) Joachim Rucker, together with Kosovo Minister for Trade and Industry Bujar Dugolli and Deputy Head of UNMIK Pillar IV Andreas Wittkowsky, participated in the signing ceremony on behalf of Kosovo.
